Popular Hero Venu Makes His OTT Debut

Trivikram Srinivas is a star director now. But, 25 years ago he was struggling to get his first chance to prove himself. At that time, Swayamvaram happened. It was a film made with all new comers. Hero, Heroine, Producer and Director too a couple of films old. Trivikram for the first time provided story and dialogues for the film. 

Venu and Laya played as lead pair. Vijayabhaskar directed it. The film became a sleeper hit. Then Trivikram provided story and dialogue to another film Chirunavvutho starring Venu and the film too became success at the boxoffice. With these two films Venu earned recognition and his Kalyanaramudu became biggest hit in his career.

Then he also simultaneously played multiple hero films like Hanuman Junction and Pellam Oorelite which became blockbusters. Then he was starred in a series of unsuccessful films and finally played a role in NTR's Dhammu directed by Boyapati Sreenu.

After a hiatus of 9 years, Venu reappeared in Ravi Teja's Rama Rao On Duty. But, that too became a failure. Now , he is trying his luck in OTT. He is playing main role in Disney Hotstar series titled Athidi. It is touted to be a thriller series. Only a glimpse poster was released. Bharat YG is directing the webseries while Manoj Katasani is the cinematographer. Praveen Sattaru is the show runner and he is also producing the webseries under Random Frames Entertainment banner.
