Roja Husband Selvamani Issued Non Bailable Warrant By Chennai Court

Firmer actress, AP Minister Roja Selvamani's husband RK Selvamani has been issued with a Non-Bailable Warrant by Chennai Magistrate court. The XV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, George Town, Chennai on Monday issued an non-bailable arrest warrant to film director RK Selvamani, who did not appear for the defamation suit hearing and adjourned the hearing to September 22.

After hearing to a defamation suit filed by film financier Mukund Chand Bothra, the XV Metropolitan Magistrate court in Georgetown has issued an non-bailable arrest warrant against RK Selvamani. During the course of the hearing, RK Selvamani failed to appear for trial on Monday and even the lawyers did not appear on his behalf.

In 2016, RK Selvamani gave an interview to a TV channel. At that time, Selvamani made several critical comments about financier Mukund Chand Bothra that he faced several issues due to him. Bothra filed a defamation suit against him in Georgetown court. After Bothra's death, the case is being pursued by his son Gagan Bothra.

RK Selvamani is a filmmaker, producer who was actively made films during 90's. Post 2000, he didn't made much films and his last film as a director was released in 2015. He is now acting as president of FEFSI.
