Director Venkatesh Maha has recently found himself in the midst of controversy once again, and this time, it revolves around a film by Prashanth Neel. Interestingly, this incident led him to delete his X account, reflecting the intensity of the situation.

Venkatesh initially took to his X account to express his enthusiasm for watching Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki" on its release day, December 21, sharing a picture of a movie ticket. However, at that time, the trailer for Prabhas' "Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire" was also released, and he failed to comment on it. This omission sparked reactions from fans, assuming that Venkatesh was once again casting shadows on Prashanth's film. Prabhas' supporters criticized him for favoring a Bollywood film over one featuring a Tollywood star, accusing him of partiality towards Prashanth.

This isn't the first time Venkatesh has faced such accusations. Previously, he was accused of casting shade on Yash's "KGF" during an interview with Prema, where he seemed to allude to the film's plot. He expressed concerns about celebrating a hero who amasses wealth at the expense of others and questioned the messages conveyed by such movies.

Before deleting his X account, Venkatesh clarified his stance, emphasizing his admiration for Prabhas and expressing a desire to collaborate with him someday. He wrote, "Ok guys, calm down. I think you are mistaking a coincidence. I have no other intentions while writing my previous post than sharing my excitement for Dunki. I just got to know that the trailer of Salaar got released after your comments."

He urged fans to refrain from making assumptions, stating, "Stop talking without knowing facts, guys. I am a big fan of Prabhas garu since his first film and I always wished to work with him. There were many instances I openly said it. I just watched the trailer of Salaar too and it looks amazing. Just don’t create a mess for everything and alter the facts. I told you not to do this just a few days ago; I think it is time for you guys to move on from me."
