Man takes a shocking decision after watching Mangalavaram.A tragic incident unfolded in Amberpet, where a 21-year-old employee working in a private firm took his own life, reportedly driven by fear after watching the Telugu horror movie "Mangalvaaram."
As per the account provided by the Amberpet police, the young man, identified as Jitender, downloaded the movie from his cousin Tumma Praveen Kumar's mobile on December 26 at his residence in Srinivasa Nagar, Amberpet. After Praveen departed, Jitender watched the movie and later that night, he locked his bedroom door from the inside. It was then that he tragically died by suicide, according to the police.
Jitender, who worked at Nagole Metro Rail Station, passed away on Friday night while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital (OGH). His father, Chandraiah, discovered him with severe burns after breaking open the locked door. Despite valiant efforts to save him, Jitender succumbed to his injuries. His dying declaration and interactions with family members suggested that his decision to end his life was driven by the fear induced by the horror movie.
In response to this unfortunate incident, the police have registered a case of suspicious death under Section 174 of the CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure). The victim's body has been shifted to the OGH morgue for a post-mortem examination, as the authorities delve into the circumstances surrounding this deeply distressing event.
