King Nagarjuna Akkineni starrer Naa Saami Ranga which was released worldwide yesterday, January 14 opened to positive word of mouth. The rural action, emotional drama which also features Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun, Ashika Ranganath, Mirnaa Menon and Rikshar Dhillon is an official remake of Malayalam film Porinju Mariyam Jose. Directed by Vijay Binni. MM Keeravani has composed it's music.
Naa Saami Ranga has registered a world wide gross of Rs 8.5 Crores on its first day. The film being screened on limited theatres has restricted its box-office numbers despite having positive WOM. The film has been received well by the audience for its entertainment and emotional content crafted with a rural backdrop. The Sankranthi backdrop added more value matching the current mood.
Naa Saami Ranga which is released as the last film for this Pongal has registered decent numbers in Telugu states. The film collected a share of Rs 4.33 Crores in Telugu states on its first day. Naa Saami Ranga is expected to witness escalation in collections in the next two to three days with festival advantage. The film ia likely to recah its break even number of Rs 20 Crores safely within its first week itself.
