Shocking rumours on Nag-Dhanush project. Since Wednesday, rumors have circulated regarding the cancellation of the shooting for the Nagarjuna and Dhanush-starrer directed by Sekhar Kammula (#DNS). Initially launched and being filmed at Garuda Circle, Alipiri, nestled in the foothills of Tirupati, the shoot garnered significant attention, leading to unexpected traffic congestion and inconvenience to devotees visiting the famous hill shrine. This prompted a complaint against the filmmakers, resulting in the cancellation of the shooting permission.

As speculations and concerns arose among fans about the fate of the project, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, one of the film’s producers, stepped in to provide clarity. Contrary to reports, he clarified that the shooting was not canceled but had been successfully completed. The shooting schedule had sought permission for a specific four-hour window—from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.—and adhered to it. Ram Mohan explained, “We obtained the required permissions to shoot at Alipiri, and we were supposed to start at 7 a.m. However, due to bad light, shooting was delayed by 45 minutes. As the shoot progressed, a considerable number of people gathered at the venue, causing a minor traffic disruption just as we were about to wrap up for the day.”

Moreover, to address the concerns about the project's continuity at the same location, Ram Mohan assured that they had shot at various other locations in Tirupati after completing the shoot at Alipiri. He emphasized that it was a single day of shooting, explaining that they specifically wanted the Tirumala Devasthanam as the backdrop in certain frames.

While acknowledging the traffic congestion, Ram Mohan asserted that the situation was always under control. He highlighted their respect for people's sentiments and their commitment to a peaceful shoot. Videos from Tirupati depicting the shooting and its aftermath have gone viral, but Ram Mohan reassured that they had aimed to carry out the shoot with minimal disturbance. He concluded by stating, “We were supposed to start at 7 a.m., but due to bad light, shooting was delayed. When we were about to wrap up, more people came, resulting in a slight traffic jam.”
