Aamir Khan is going again to Oscars

Aamir Khan’s ‘Peepli Live,’ the critically well acclaimed movie has been selected as India’s official entry for the Oscars out of 27 films filtered by Film Federation of India. ‘Peepli Live’ will compete for Oscar in the Best Foreign Film category.

This movie is written and directed by Anusha Rizvi and shot on very small budget in small villages of Madhya Pradesh. Producer Aamir Khan said, he will ensure that the film is seen by the Academy members and will ensure that it gets a good publicity during the awards next year.

‘This is good news. I feel honored and happy to be selected to represent my country. The film stands a very good chance. My congratulations to Anusha Rizvi and the entire team of Peepli Live,’ he said. Let us wish ‘Peepli Live’ to bring the Oscar this time after that disappointing ‘Lagaan.’
