No activities in Tollywood today

With the news of chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy breathing his last in a helicopter crash, the whole state has been devastated. Even the film industry was no exception so as a tribute to mourn the demise, they have announced that no film related activity will be taking place today.

 This was announced by the Film Chamber and the artistes association together. As it is, the release of the films like ‘Josh’ has been postponed and it is said that there has been an air of sadness and gloom that is being felt all over. There is also news that not many have been to the theatres since yesterday and most of them have been glued to the TV channels at home.

In what is being seen as a rather dark day for many of the Telugus, the film industry seems to have been the most affected. The sudden and shocking death of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy has caused an impact among the veterans of the Telugu film circuit.

Seniors like Dasari Narayana Rao, Daggubati Ramanaidu and others shared their thoughts and revealed how Ysr was not only a dynamic and courageous leader but also a very affectionate person at heart. Many have been saying that the biggies of the Tollywood were quite sad about the whole thing and they were seen shedding tears on hearing the news.
