Laapataa Ladies Surpassed Animal In Netflix

If there is a film which has been constantly in news for either positive or for controversial news, it is Ranbir Kapoor starrer, Sandeep Vanga directorial 'Animal'. The film which was released on December 1st has been received severe backlash but turned into a Pathbreaking blockbuster earning more than Rs 900 crores at the boxoffice. 

Coming to Laapataa Ladies directed by Kiran Rao is more about woman empowerment dealing with a story about how a girl escaped from unwanted marriage for higher education. The film was released in April and collected a mere Rs 30 Crores. But, Kiran Rao directorial Laapataa Ladies has outperformed Sandeep Reddy Vanga film Animal on Netflix. 

According to reports, Laapataa Ladies garnered a record 13.8 million views on Netflix after it debuted on the OTT platform only a month ago. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor's blockbuster Animal has garnered 13.6 million views till date. Another interesting thing to note here is that while Laapataa Ladies garnered those views in mere 30 days, Animal got its views in around four months.

But, Animal is more lengthier in duration which is almost one and a half an hour long than Laapataa Ladies. This might be another factor for gaining more views for Laapataa Ladies apart from appealing and heartwarming content which is quite contrast to bold and rebellious nature of 'Animal'.
