Taimur Ali Khan, the son of Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, has been a constant target of the paparazzi since his birth in 2016. He gained his own fan following on social media, making him a sought-after subject for photographers. However, this relentless pursuit of photos, particularly during his school and tuition hours, led to a turning point.
Veteran photographer Varinder Chawla, during an interview, recounted the overwhelming media presence surrounding Taimur, revealing how their initial enthusiasm soon crossed a boundary. He explained, "Kareena was always gracious with photographers, but the demand for photos of Taimur grew exponentially. We were following him everywhere, from school to tuition, even while he played."
Chawla described a particularly alarming incident where he witnessed around 40-50 people on bikes trailing Taimur's car. "It was like they were going to attack him," he recalled, "I was frightened, and I realized how disturbing this was for the family, especially Taimur's nanny."
This incident prompted Saif Ali Khan to intervene, urging the paparazzi to respect Taimur's privacy and avoid following him to school. "We decided to set a limit," said Chawla, "They have a personal life, and we had to respect that."
Echoing this sentiment, Kareena Kapoor Khan earlier shared that Taimur is uncomfortable with being photographed. "He's more reserved, like his father," she said, "He doesn't like being clicked."
This narrative highlights a crucial point in the relationship between celebrities and the paparazzi. While public interest in star children is understandable, it's essential to recognize the importance of respecting their privacy and allowing them to live normal lives.
