Vizag Files to explode. The Andhra Pradesh government is set to expose alleged land grabbing by the previous YSRCP regime in Visakhapatnam, drawing comparisons to the controversial film "The Kashmir Files." This investigation, dubbed "Vizag Files," promises to shed light on alleged land mafia activities during the YSRCP's five-year tenure from 2019-2024.
Bheemili MLA and TDP leader Ghanta Srinivas Rao, a vocal critic of the YSRCP, has alleged widespread irregularities in the city during the previous government's rule. He claims YSRCP leaders, in collusion with top bureaucrats, encroached upon thousands of acres of land, particularly in Visakhapatnam, which was initially proposed as the state's executive capital under the "three-capital formula."
Ghanta further alleges that the land mafia was rampant under the previous government, with the then Chief Secretary allegedly orchestrating these illegal activities. He insists that concrete evidence of these wrongdoings will be revealed soon.
Ghanta's claims come on the heels of his exposé of the controversial "Rushikonda Palace" in Visakhapatnam last month. He now seeks to expose how YSRCP leaders abused their power to grab government and public lands.
The accusations against the YSRCP extend to Vijay Sai Reddy, a close aide of former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the MP for Visakhapatnam. Several reports emerged during the YSRCP's tenure highlighting the party's alleged acquisition of thousands of acres in and around Visakhapatnam prior to the announcement of the three-capital plan.
The upcoming "Vizag Files" investigation is expected to stir political controversy in Andhra Pradesh. It remains to be seen whether the TDP's claims will be substantiated and how the YSRCP will respond to these accusations.
