The tall, saucy and voluptuous siren of South cinema is Namitha exhibited her undisputed attitude. Talking about her next film ‘Ilaiganan’ in Tamil, the story which is penned by Chief Minister Karunanidhi keeping Namitha in mind, she explained, ‘this film is a period drama set in the 1940’s. I play a rich, snobby woman hailing from a mixed race partly English, partly Indian. And let me warn you, I am a bitch of the highest order in the film. She wears those tilted Victorian hats, smokes expensive cigarettes and has a nasty attitude to boot take it or leave it. I fit the bill perfectly.’
Suresh Krishna of ‘Bhaasha’ fame is handling this project while Namitha feels it like Ramya Krishna’s role of Neelambari in ‘Narasimha.’ All the way, Namitha accepting the meaty roles very often these days has become the hot item in Tamil market.
