Kangana says she got courage to make Emergency now. Kangana Ranaut is known for her hardhitting and powerful films and her upcoming film Emergency is generating immense interest among movie lovers. The film marks Kangana Ranaut's debut as the director. Emergency is releasing on 17 Jan 2025 in an extraordinary manner.
Now speaking to scribes, Kangana shared why she made Emergency now. She said "There was a lot of struggle. You must have seen that no one could ever make a film on Mrs. Gandhi (Indira Gandhi). There was a film, Kissa Kursi Ka. The director of that film had to commit suicide, and such a situation was created for him. We got the courage to do this film because there is freedom of speech today."
She continued "We had to show this film to several communities, and it had to go through a lot of scrutiny. We have a lot of faith in our Constitution and the Censor Board, and we are happy and eager to show this film to the world. I had no idea that I would have to go through all of this while making my film, Emergency."
Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik are starring in the film.
