People woke up to the shocking news to find that Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has been stabbed by an intruder who barged into his house in Mumbai.
The incident happened in the wee hours of Thursday when the person at 2.30 AM entered into his house at Bandra, Mumbai to rob. Saif Ali Khan,his wife Kareena Kapoor and his family members were sleeping when the incident happened. When the family members woke up and Saif Ali Khan confronted him, he stabbed him six times and escaped.
A senior police officer shared “Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to the Lilavati hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. It is not clear yet, if he is stabbed or injured in the scuffle with the robber. We have been investigating the matter. The Mumbai crime branch is also conducting a parallel investigation into the incident.”
Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital sharing details of Saif Ali Khan's injury,said “Saif was attacked by an unidentified person in his house. He was brought in at 3:30 am in Lilavati. He has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One of the injuries is closer to his spine. We are operating on him. He is being operated upon by Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will be tell the extent of the damage only after the surgery is done."
Doctors started surgery at 5.30 AM and they are still performing it. Kareena and Saif have been staying in the house with their children Taimur (8) and Jeh (4) in the Satguru Sharan building in Mumbai's Bandra West ever since their marriage in 2012.
Celebrities expressed shock and wished Saif Ali Khan a speedy recovery.
Pooja Bhatt questioned Pooja Bhatt took to Twittter and questioned Mumbai Police after the attack on Saif Ali Khan. She wrote, "
