Maharaja sequel on cards

Movie lovers cannot forget the performance of Vijay Sethupathi in his film Maharaja. Nithilan Saminathan came up with a hardhitting story and Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap captivated all with their performances.

Now, reports are coming that Maharaja sequel is on cards. Inside talk is Nithilan Saminathan came up with an interesting and even more thrilling story and Vijay Sethupathi loved the narration and gave green signal to the same.

Now, Nithilan is working on the script and screenplay and the project is expected to go to floors soon. A source shares “The sequel has the potential to surpass the original film and has all the ingredients of a winner,”

The film's Telugu version collected Rs 13crs and the source revealed “Given the film’s success, the sequel is expected to fetch a solid price in the Telugu market,”

Maharaja starred  Sachana Namidass (in her major film debut), with Mamta Mohandas, Natty Subramaniam, Abhirami, Divyabharathi, Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Manikandan, Bharathiraja in key roles.
