Sudha Kongara shares her thoughts on Jana Nayagan censor row

Thalapathy Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan directed by H.Vinoth which was supposed to release on 9 Jan 2026 hit a roadblock and the release got postponed indefinitely following Censor Board's refusal to clear the decks for the theatrical release with a certificate.

In the midst of all this, Sudha Kongara speaking to scribes, shared her thoughts on the issue. She said "What happened to Jana Nayagan, where just two days before release, the censors hold you back… it should not happen to any film."

She showered praises on Vijay saying “I love Vijay, probably I am his biggest fan and there is no two ways about it. Because I have met him and told him the same. We were at one point supposed to do a film together. That did not pan out due to various reasons.”

Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi featuring Sivakarthikeyan hit the screens on 10 Jan 2026. She earlier said . "I may have watched my own film 2,000 times, but for a first-day, first-show, I will go and watch Vijay's film. I wanted that film (Jana Nayagan) to release so badly,"
