Five individuals were detained in Pune in connection with the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty's residence in Mumbai's Juhu area. The assailants fired at the first floor of the nine-storey building at around 12.45 AM, prompting a swift response from Mumbai Police and Crime Branch teams.

The detained individuals have been identified as Siddharth Deepak Yenpure, Samarth Shivshankar Pomaji, Swapnil Bandu Sakat, Aman Anand Marothe, and Aditya Dnyaneshwar Gayke. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sambhaji Kadam stated that the Pune police found the individuals from the Dhayari, Warje, and Karve Nagar areas and handed them over to the Mumbai police for further investigation.

The Mumbai police have registered a case under charges of attempt to murder and provisions of the Arms Act. The investigation is underway to determine if the detained individuals have any connection to any gang. Security outside Rohit Shetty's building has been intensified, with heavy police deployment and forensic teams collecting evidence.
