Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi's Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari is generating immense interest among movie lovers. The film is releasing in two parts and the first part will be releasing during Dasara 2026 and the second part during Dasara 2027.
In the meantime, Arun Govil who played the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's iconic TV serial Ramayan, is now playing the role of King Dasaratha, father of Lord Ram.
Speaking to scribes, he said “Comparisons are always made when a standard is set, and no one should feel bad that I'm being compared. I believe that in order to play the role of God, you should look like that. The look is very important. When people see you, they should see God in you, and think, 'God can be like that',"
He also added “There is a lot of difference between Ramayana and Adipurush,” Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash are playing the roles of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita and Ravan while Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey will play the roles of Hanuman and Laxman respectively.
On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Mandodri and Surpanakha. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan are playing key roles.
