Parasakthi Telugu Version To Stream On ZEE5

Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi is set to premiere on ZEE5 from February 7, 2026, in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The film was initially planned for a simultaneous theatrical release in Tamil and Telugu but was shelved due to the heavy Sankranthi release rush in Telugu states. Later the film was supposed to release in Telugu during Republic Day weekend but dropped plans as the film didn't do as per expectations in Tamil.

Parasakthi is set in the 1960s and revolves around the anti Hindi imposition agitations in the former Madras State, following the story of two brothers involved in the movement. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan (Jayam Ravi), Sreeleela, and Atharvaa. Tollywood sensation Sreeleela makes her debut in the Tamil film industry with this film, receiving high praise for her glamour, dance, and acting.

The film's digital rights have been acquired by ZEE5 for a hefty price, and it's expected to revive the film's fortunes on OTT. Despite not receiving the expected response in Tamil theatres, Parasakthi collected over ₹100 crore in just a few days, becoming another milestone in Sivakarthikeyan's career.

The film features notable actors like Rana Daggubati, Malayalam actor Basil Joseph, and Kannada star Dolly Dhananjaya in key roles. Parasakthi is a period drama with the atmosphere of the 1960s wonderfully recreated through sets and costumes. With Sivakarthikeyan's emotional performance and Sudha Kongara's distinctive direction, the film is expected to set new records on OTT platforms.
