Abhishek Nama's highly anticipated mythological action drama Nagabandham, starring Virat Karrna, is set to hit theaters this summer. The film's teaser is scheduled to release on February 15, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri. Ahead of the teaser launch, the makers have unveiled Rishabh Sawhney's first look as the infamous Afghan Sultan Abdali.
Rishabh Sawhney, known for his commanding presence in Bollywood's Fighter, is performing as villain Abdali, showcasing his versatility as an actor. The first look poster features Rishabh in mid charge, wielding a giant, blood soaked battle axe, set against a storm lashed, snow covered battlefield. The image is intense, with a massive army, war flags, archers, warriors, and towering war elephants, creating a high voltage war canvas.
In Nagabandham, Abdali is depicted as a ruthless and ambitious leader, willing to sacrifice innocent lives to uncover the mythical Naga Bandham hidden in the Himalayas. Director Abhishek Nama praised Rishabh's portrayal, stating that his performance brings depth and intensity to the role. Rishabh shared that he aimed to reflect Abdali's complexities and motives while remaining true to the story's essence.
The film boasts a talented cast, including Nabha Natesh and Iswarya Menon as the female leads, and seasoned performers Jagapathi Babu, Jayaprakash, Murali Sharma, and BS Avinash. With technical brilliance from Soundar Rajan S, RC Pranav, and Ashok Kumar, Nagabandham promises an arresting visual experience. Produced by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy, Nagabandham is entering its final production phase, with a grand Pan-India release expected this summer.
