Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna New Romantic Comedy

Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna are teaming up again for a new romantic comedy, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, known for his work on Badhaai Ho and Maidaan. The duo, who are currently working on Cocktail 2, developed a strong professional relationship during the making of the film and were quick to agree to work together again.

The upcoming untitled movie will be produced by Sunir Kheterpal under The Vermilion World banner, in association with Jio Studios. This marks Kheterpal's second collaboration with Shahid Kapoor, after Bloody Daddy, and his work with Amit Sharma on The Intern, which was shelved due to Rishi Kapoor's passing.

The film promises a refreshing blend of romance and comedy, with the on screen dynamic of Shahid and Rashmika expected to be more personal, emotional, and layered. Filming is expected to begin around August-September 2026, once both actors complete their current commitments.

Shahid Kapoor is currently promoting his upcoming film O' Romeo, directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, and will soon begin shooting for the second season of Raj & DK's Farzi on Amazon Prime Video. Rashmika Mandanna has a series of projects lined up, including Ranabaali with Vijay Deverakonda, Mysaa and Atlee's action film #AA22xA6, and is set to marry Deverakonda later this month.
