Sivakarthikeyan To Star In Big Budget Sci Fi

Sivakarthikeyan is bouncing back from the box office disappointment of Parasakthi with a massive sci-fi project helmed by Venkat Prabhu. The film, which is expected to be Sivakarthikeyan's biggest to date, boasts a hefty budget of over ₹150 crore and features Kalyani Priyadarshan as the lead actress.

Kalyani Priyadarshan, who previously collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan in Hero (2019) and with Venkat Prabhu in Maanaadu (2021), is said to be finalized for the role. The film promises to be a visual spectacle, with extensive use of CGI and VFX, and will reportedly see Sivakarthikeyan playing dual roles.

The sci-fi film is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2026, with Sivakarthikeyan currently busy with his upcoming release, Seyon, scheduled for Dasara. The team has already begun working on the film's pre-production, with Sivakarthikeyan and Venkat Prabhu visiting Los Angeles to collaborate with Lola VFX, a renowned Hollywood studio, for the film's visual effects.

The film's music is expected to be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, marking another collaboration between the director-composer duo. With its ambitious scope and star-studded cast, this project is set to be one of the most anticipated Tamil films of 2027.
