Producers are benefiting in crores selling satellite rights of their movies. When it comes to top heroes and super stars, they almost make total production cost out of these satellite rights. Super Star Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Ra One’ has set new record by selling its satellite rights for Rs.40 crores which is the highest ever for a Bollywood film after ‘3 Idiots’ being sold for Rs.36 crores. 

Of course film has been made with such a big budget that no Hindi film can match up and whooping amounts spent on special effects with some of the best technicians imported from Hollywood to make ‘Ra One.’ This is a sci-fi and many technicalities have been taken into care so that film can do wonders. Even before the offical announcement of release date, the movie started earning heavy bucks for Shah Rukh.

Now days, selling satellite rights is not new as many films like ‘Guzaarish,’ ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Tees Maar Khan’ were sold to different channels for huge amount. For information sake, ‘Ra’ in title of the film means ‘Random Access’.
