Heroine hides that from Director

If pregnancy of Aishwarya Rai was happy news for Bachchan’s family, it is equally a hard situation for producer cum director Madhur Bhandarkar who booked the heroine for most awaited film ‘Heroine’ that was launched in Cannes on May 13. It was Bhandarkar’s two year dream to start this project after rejection from Kareena Kapoor. Now, he decided to shelve the film having known the news of Aish being carrying the baby.

‘The entire event would not have taken place if at the beginning the actress had informed of an impending maternity. The truth was hidden from us. We learnt about it from news channels like the rest of the world. Filmmaking functions on faith and trust.  I salute every woman who chooses to work in this delicate state but I would never knowingly put them in harm way knowing the delicate nature of her health,’ answered Madhur Bhandarkar breaking the silence.
