Top Director for Hero's son

Media always keep a close watch on Maniratnam and his moves. After shelving the idea of ‘Ponniyin Selvan,’ he is now toying with new story idea narrated by Jayamohan. While Mani wanted to make film with star hero Vijay, the story idea being a rural based subject, he thought of making it with new comers.

Presently Mani is doing location scouting in parallel with working on story. As the hunt is for fresh faces, news has come strong that handsome actor of ‘Abhinandana’ and ‘Gharshana’ fame Karthik’s son, Gautam will be launched with this film. Given that Karthik and Mani share great rapport working for many films, talks are on between them. Obviously there will be a dubbing Telugu version too.
