Vidya Balan Booked Under C-Case

A city court on Wednesday directed the police to take action against the film ‘The Dirty Picture’ and register cases against actress Vidya Balan and producer Ekta Kapoor. The orders were issued after an advocate Azad filed a petition in Nampally Criminal Court stating that ‘The Dirty Picture’ had many objectionable scenes and therefore, he sought action against Vidya Balan. 

Admitting the petition, court directed the Nallakunta Police Station to register a case. In his petition, Azad stated that obscenity in movie would spoil tender minds and their career. Stating the objectionable scenes on posters and wall papers would divert attention of viewers, he sought direction from court to remove them. Vidya Balan played lead role in movie made on the life of south Indian cine star Silk Smitha. However, Nallakunta inspector M. Suman Kumar told that a case would be registered after receipt of court’s order.
