Amitabh Bachchan’s injury in Ramesh Sippy’s film Colie has become a landmark. He carries the wound even now. Nutan Prasad had to confine himself to a wheelchair after an accident while shooting Bamma Mata Bangaru Bata.

Jamuna carries the cervical injury as the hero fell on her head while shooting the Tamil version of Letha Manasulu.

Recently the Vennela 1½ team had a brush with death. The unit was shooting in a no man’s island in Thailand. After a hectic schedule the unit was returning in three boats. While two boats had a smooth sail, the third one developed a technical sang.

There was no communication as cell phones like the boat failed to work. The journey started at 5.30 pm and it was pouring. Sea water was entering the boat and there was nothing they could do. Finally the word out and a rescue team came and pulled them to safety. The time was 1.30 am by then.

The film is a sequel to Vennela directed by Kirshore. Chaitanya Krishna and Monal Gajjar are playing lead roles. Sunil Kashyap scored the music and  the film is likely to hit the screens this month.
