Summer season is considered as most beneficial season for film makers. In the same flow, even festivals will always have special attractions and new releases add to the fervor of the auspicious occasion. Ugadi, the Telugu New Year also has with it the aura ushering in new things including films.
This year is no exception and beginning Ugadi, summer of 2012 is studded with big films. Back to the festival, Ugadi brings in ‘Naa Ishtam’ starring Rana Daggubati and Genelia along with it is ‘Ee Rojullo’ with debutants Srinivas and Reshmi followed by ‘Seetha Weds Sriram’ and ‘Chelagatam’ on the same day. A week later comes dubbing film ‘3’ famous with ‘Kolaveri Di’ song will be coming on March 30 along with RP Patnaik’s ‘Friends Book’ and Aadi’s ‘Lovely.’ April brings in Teja’s ‘Neeku Naaku Dash Dash’ while Ramcharan’s ‘Rachcha’ is scheduled for April 12 release. One week later comes NTR to show his ‘Dammu.’ But, his uncle Balakrishna arrival in next week with ‘Adhinayakudu’ remains doubtful. The science fiction ‘Eega’ is slated for the month end.
‘Endukante Premante’ of Ram, Tamanna in direction of Karunakaran and ‘Daruvu’ of Raviteja, Tapsee will come in May first week while Pawan Kalyan’s much touted ‘Gabbar Singh’ is slated for peak summer release on May 9. Then will be Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Life is Beautiful’ for May end. Nagarjuna’s ‘Damurukam’ and Prabhas starring ‘Rebel’ will come in June as end of summer attractions.
