Confirmed: Akhil to go Rana's Way

As we have speculated earlier on who could be the best possible director to handle the debut project of young Akkineni Akhil, the answer seems to be quite possibly Sekhar Kammula. The maverick director who first made Akhil’s mom Amala to appear back on screen after a gap of more than decade is now getting ready to prepare a script to please Akkineni family members. Though, this isn’t officially confirmed by any of the parties but the news is quickly gaining strength in film circles ever since Akhil came to ‘Life is Beautiful’ audio launch function.

In fact, the way Sekhar dealt with Rana for ‘Leader’ gave enough evidences on how this silent man can direct even powerful and serious subjects. No doubts, Akhil has the needed charm and necessarily he should debut with a love story to attract the attention of youth audience. Like, that is the area where his dad has major strength. So, it could be in 2013 we will hear an official announcement on Sekhar-Akhil combo.
