Rate Fixed for 'Vishwaroopam' on TV

Without much worried on the reaction from theatre guilds threatening to ban the release of his film in cinema halls, Kamal Hasan is going ahead with 'Vishwaroopam' DTH TV release eight hours before the actual release in cinema halls. Rate for one time viewing of 'Vishwaroopam' in TV is fixed as Rs.1000. This will be alone for single viewing and we cannot record the flick due to encryption code.

This one move by Kamal might revolutionalize the cinema business in India. If first day collection figures of TV release are significantly high then many more prestigious high budget flicks releasing from now on will take the DTH route to pull additional revenues. An official note of statement is sent by Kamal on this and the reaction from theatre owners cum Associations aren't favorable.
