From 'Kadali' to 'Ala Modalaindi'

Having made a decent debut as an artist with 'Kadali' (in Tamil, it is 'Kadal') in the direction of Maniratnam, now the young hero Gautham Karthik is stepping into the shoes of Nani. Yes, the super hit Nandini Reddy's film of 'Ala Modalaindi' will now be remade in Tamil with Gautham as hero in the direction of Ravi Thyagarajan, a protege of Priyadarshan. As per the reports arriving, film will be shot in Mysore, Hyderabad and other locations of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The romantic comedy will go on floors by May. 

While 'Kadal' was a declared flop, the acting instincts in Gautham was praised by critics. With the proved subject of 'Ala Modalaindi,' there are quite high chances of this young boy to begin a new journey of success. Heroine could be most probably the same Mallu beauty Nithya Menon.
