Sanjay Dutt’s review petition in Supreme Court for bail is dismissed by the division bench of Justice P Sadasivam and BS Chauhan. So, this leaves no other option for Dutt to surrender before Police or Court on May 16 to go for jail punishment. He will be in prison for next five years as punished by Supreme Court for conviction under Arms Act.

The only options left are Presidential Pardon and an application for early release. As court has found the grounds on which a bail can be granted as weak, there is no more time left for now. There are plenty of applications on Dutt filed before Maharashtra governor, some opposing the pardon and some suggesting the pardon. One more option left is Sanjay has to surrender now and then he could plead either for leniency or early release by undergoing the jail term. Let us see what happens now.
