Man behind Harish Shankar Decision

Yesterday was the day when sensational director Harish Shankar announced of never to cast a non-Telugu artist in his films. In fact, it is really hard to find a right villain and right glamorous heroine who can speak fluent Telugu because we depended on importing the artists from other languages. So, we cannot expect other state people to know Telugu. However, industry welcomes such decision like Harish Shankar and few were trying to know on why such statement was given?

The reason lies in making of ‘Gabbar Singh’ where in the villain artist Abhimanyu Singh, who has no hold on Telugu language created many problems for the shoot. Harish took it as a duty to make Abhimanyu understand each and every word in his dialogues and then react with the needed emotion. This ate up a lot of time and the director was frustrated. Result is we have a pure Telugu speaking artist Ravi Shankar of ‘Damarukam’ fame playing the antagonist in ‘Ramayya Vastavayya.’
