Where is Ganesh Chaturthi in 'Anamika'?

Climax of ‘Kahaani’ played crucial part in its success because final twist in story coming in the form of revealing actual identity of Vidya Balan stunned the audience. Never to miss, the Kolkata nativity with superb screenplay and authentic Durga Pooja festival elevated the mood in climax. It is in fact a tough task for Sekhar Kammula to inject the same nativity in Telugu and Tamil 'Anamika' because Durga Pooja isn’t a real big fest while Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with similar fervor here.

After watching the posters and first trailer of the film, it’s clear that Sekhar struck to the original format of symbolizing Durga Maa or Shakti as visible female form of women power. When it comes to Hyderabad which is the backdrop of ‘Anamaika,’ one would expect Ganesh Nimajjanam to uplift the nativity factor. However, it is a real test for Sekhar’s story telling abilities to show Nayanathara as ‘Durga Maa’ killing the evil in society.
