‘Asian’at IFFI inaugural?

Ghajini actress Asin along with Veteran Hyderabadi actress Waheeda Rehman is in Goa for the inaugural of the 40th International Film Festival. Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Saturday pronounced Asin's name as 'Asian'.When the confused journalists repeatedly asked Kamat if it was Asin he was talking about, the CM said, yes, the South Indians write their spellings in different ways.

Kamat mispronounced the name while reading out the names of dignitaries who would attend the inaugural.Kerala-born Asin Thottumal also worked in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films. After her Hindi debut Ghajini opposite Aamir, she has also done London Dreams opposite Salman Khan.
