Koththa Janta - Hit But Not a Hit

Poor Allu Sirish is going through a peculiar phase of career as a hero from Mega camp. Just two movies old, Sirish had faced a disaster with ‘Gouravam’ firstly and then ‘Koththa Janta’ released off late is also seen with divided reports. As the summer season is at peak with students enjoying the holidays and no opposition in the market, a minimum of positive talk would have done the wonders for this youthful entertainer. However, Maruthi disappointed viewers with a feeble screenplay and unnecessary drama.

On trade front, while makers have declared ‘KJ’ is already into profit zone with sustained collections enough to call it as hit, on the other side what kind of positive energy did the film instill into Sirish’s career is best question which needs an answer. The silence of Sirish explains it all. So, ‘KJ’ might be a hit from BO point of view but at the same time not a hit from Sirish’s career point of analysis.
