Bollywood Cashing on 'Drishyam'

Astonished with the glorious success of ‘Drishyam’ in all the South languages, here is Bollywood top producer Ekta Kapoor is quite miffed. The sensational film maker should have acquired the remake rights for Hindi version from the original producers in Malayalam version but she is going in a different way. Yes, we hear that Ekta has sent legal notices to original makers in Kerala alleging that ‘Drishyam’ is made from the story of a Korean book ‘The Devotion of Suspect X.’

Ekta in turn bagged the film making rights of this book by paying good sum to writer Keigo Higashino. As much of the spirit in book is lifted by writer cum director Jitu Joseph, she does not want to leave him. So, obviously Ekta would demand high compensation from Malayalam producers who are selling the remakes to all other languages. This is in fact a good way of cashing on others success.
