RGV Going With Sridevi Title

While controversies are not new for Ram Gopal Varma, his rift with gorgeous yesteryear diva Sridevi isn’t an expected one. The new movie of RGV titled first as ‘Savithri’ and then renamed as ‘Sridevi’ is about infatuation of a 15 year old boy towards a 25 year old aunty. When RGV named the film as ‘Sridevi,’ this did not go well with actress Sridevi and she shot a legal notice at RGV for changing the title and plead for apologies.

However RGV is a tough master and he isn’t worried at all about these notices. ‘The title has been given to us by the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber which is the authorised body.  I am deeply hurt by this action of Sridevi whom I always admired and respected and I strongly believe that she was influenced by others with vested interests..I am going ahead with the title "Sridevi" because I am well within my legal and moral rights to use it,’ RGV reacted.
