Akkineni Fans in Disappointment

Chandamama Kathalu, declared as Best Regional Film in Telugu by the panel of 62nd National Awards stood as a shocking decision on the part of Akkineni Fans. In fact, many of Telugu audience expected ‘Manam’ to run away with Best Telugu Film but ‘Chandamama Kathalu’ from Praveen Sattaru sprung a surprise. If ‘Manam’ is a complex story of five human beings emotionally connected with re-incarnations, ‘Chandamama Kathalu’ is a different concept of weaving four to five stories together in tandem. Of course both being critically praised films, one would have thought of best to win the game. 

Although a National recognition wasn’t possible for now, definitely ‘Manam’ should be flooded by State Nandi Awards. If at all Nagarjuna would have lobbied at National level, this isn’t a big task for man of his caliber and influence.
