Glamour is not the only instrumental factor in steering the fate of a heroine in film industry. Although good looks and attracting physique are needed but they cannot be so mandatory when there is ample acting skill in a heroine. Look at the young and refreshing Nithya Menon who is open for any versatile character given. She is just ruling the hearts of South Indian audience with sheer performance.

The title role of ‘Ganga’ released yesterday is winning the unique acceptance and appreciations of public and critics. Nithya enters into the main story at a very late hour in second half. She stuns one and all putting up a dominating show swallowing the presence of Lawrence, Tapsee and other artists. Generally, heroines popularized for romantic stories or commercial characters may not adventure to accept the physically handicapped lady with a crooked leg character as done by Nithya in ‘Ganga’ to utmost perfection.

Though it takes some time for viewers to sink in with sympathy generating role of Nithya but once we are done, it’s a one sided show. In fact, the major story and emotional vacuum in the film is filled only by Nithya. It’s a complete contrast to what she played in ‘Ok Bangaram’ and now she is ‘Ganga.’ Kudos to this absorbingly brilliant Mallu beauty.
