Filmy Tribute to Late Abdul Kalam

Late former president Abdul Kalam has been an inspiration for youth. His untimely death is a big loss to the country. From elementary school students to high scale researchers or from simple problems to complex issues, there is an influence of Kalam on all of us. What could be the best tribute to Kalam from film industry? A biopic can be a possible opportunity but it needs more of time before some writers and producers begin their script work.

Till then, at least a song remembering golden phrases and ideologies of Kalam can be a fitting tribute.  A Tamil film named ‘Ko 2’ coming as a sequel to super hit ‘Ko’ (In Telugu, Rangam) placed one such song. They have declared this song as a tribute to Abdul Kalam.        

‘Unnai Maatrinaal is a song which has Kalam’s popular quotes as lyrics. Actually, we planned this song before he passed away. Now, we made this as a tribute to our missile man, only after the demise. We feel unlucky missing Kalam sir as he is not with us to hear the ‘Ko 2’ title song composition. So, we made this as a theme song,’ director Sharath said.
