Mayuri Good, How About Collections?

The yesterday released horror-thriller ‘Mayuri’ from Nayanathara in direction of Ashwin Saravannan received thumbs up response from critics and a section of enlightened audience. The convolution screenplay with multi layered presentation has shown a big deal of hard work done by entire team in presenting us with a shocking surprise. Whatever technicalities and efforts have put in by the entire team, finally it’s the Box Office show which matters?

If reports are to be believed, ‘Mayuri’ opened to sparse crowds yesterday. Though promoted on different grounds by offering prize money of 5 Lakhs for any viewer who is ready to watch the film alone in a night show and bla bla, common audience and families showed interest for repeats of ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’ and ‘Courier Boy Kalyan’ rather than ‘Mayuri.’

A positive word of mouth talk should help this Nayan’s film to pick up from today. How far, the formula struck Tollywood audience can welcome this change and how far C Kalyan’s attempts to pull in the best possible bunch of viewers towards ‘Mayuri’ theaters succeeded?
