‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ introduced a talented girl Wamiqa Gabbi to Telugu industry and it was also a much needed break for hero Sudheer Babu. However, the discussion here pertains only to Wamiqa who is now spreading her wings into deeper South doing projects in Tamil and Malayalam languages.

In Tamil, she debuted as an urban girl Manoja in Geetanjali Selvaraghavan’s flick ‘Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam.’ After getting due identity in Kollywood, now Wamiqa Gabbi also signed a film in Malayalam for Basil Joseph and it’s titled as ‘Godha.’ This movie is made on a sports comedy backdrop with Wamiqa playing a wrestler.

Along with director, even heroine Wamiqa traveled across Punjab and Kerala to research on the game which is popularly called as Gusthi. Having spotted the history and current relevance of subject, Wamiqa is now training the sport under an expert in Punjab.
