Distributors are prone to take more risks in cinema field wherein every step they take is dependent either on quality of output given by producer or the availability of theaters to plan the release accordingly. Producers investing on fancy combination of hero, heroine and director sell their product much before the completion because distributors pay huge amounts as advances. Finally, if the Box Office result goes wrong then area wise buyers will be the biggest losers.
Very rarely do we see films like ‘AAa’ as distributors are enjoying early profits. Like Dil Raju mentioned the other day, many of the buyers entered into profits by first weekend and still making merry. Producer China Babu and director Trivikram Srinivas are reportedly receiving many calls from traders thanking them for reaping unimaginable revenues.
So, ‘AAa’ is clearly a buyer biased product. None knows how much China Babu gained as producer but for sure the joy on distributors’ faces should be making him happier inside.
