Who will be the Sankranthi winner?

Well after a huge gap at Box Office, again the chit chat has begun. Sakranthi is just not the festival of kites; even it has more of colors on screen. After a big wait, four movies have strike the theatres amidst heavy expectations. If three movies have big stars to name, one is just a movie from concept movie makers.

The most awaited of the season is Junior NTR’s ‘Adurs’ which has hit Seemandhra on time and few Telangana districts on second and third day after its release. Everywhere the appearance of Junior NTR was cheered by audience and especially fans. Although there are nothing like the old stains or brand techniques of Junior NTR and VV Vinyak, ‘Adurs’ has breezed the new and fresh air with Junior NTR as Chari, the hilarious character. Irrespective of reviews and expectations, ‘Adurs’ has all the capacity to hold the space at BO for few weeks.

Next, the most awaited is ‘Namo Venkatesha,’ from the Producer’s hero Venkatesh. If ‘Adurs’ has no brand image or regular trademark episodes of Junior NTR and VV Vinayak, ‘Namo Venkatesha’ is a faktu Srinu Vaitla’s movie with his regular team of actors and even Devisri Prasad. Family audiences have already embraced Venkatesh’s character in the movie, though it is on the regular lines of his earlier movies. ‘Namo Venkatesha’ has the capability to pull the families towards theatres for its cool comedy episodes.

Shambho Shiva Shambho, from Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh and Shiva Balaji is a dark horse in the race. No doubt, not on the regular formula based movies but Shambho Shiva Shambho has something an excellent message and wonderful performances from all the team of actors. Director Samuthirakani was successful in his attempt of bringing a quality product on to the screen, but still a big doubt how will the audiences digest a message giving movie with too much of emotion and sentiment?

Atlast is ‘Om Shanthi’ which is also a message movie with differential experiment. Everything has gone wrong in the movie except two songs and their pictuization. Neither Kajal Agarwal, Navdeep nor Madhavan were able to save the grace of the movie. Everywhere it is opened to average crowds and with three big movies in fray, few have turned their eyes towards ‘Om Shanthi.’

This is just a regular analysis of Sankranthi releases done based on few opinions, but the real fate of these movies will only be decided when holidays will be completed and other movies like Leader, Seetharamula Kalyanam, Kedi and Yugaaniki Okkadu strike the theatres with in next few days.
