Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's magnum opus 'Gauthamiputra Satakarni's teaser was unveiled by the production team at 10:15 this morning. The teaser begins with Balakrishna's words "Vishranthi ledhu..Viramam ledu" (No rest, no interval) which further indicates the thirst of protagonist on wars.
And then spine chilling and nerve wracking war episode is seen in bits wherein Balakrishna beheads his enemies with a sword. "Aa kathikantina nethuti chara inkaa pachchigane vundi"(blood that sticks to the sword is still moist), again background voice of Balakrishna is heard.
Balakrishna then provokes his rival with the words, "Samayam ledhu mitrama..sharanamaa, ranamaa"(Dear friend, time is running out. Do you apologize or would go for a war?). Well, the director hasn't revealed whom Balakrishna is speaking these words to. In fact, no actor other than Balakrishna was seen in the teaser.
Balakrishna looked good as a warrior. Physically, he could have been more fit for the character. The shield of Balakrishna made with bronze was attractive, natural and takes us to the times of ancient days. War episode shot in Georgia appears to have come out well. Background score by Chirantan Bhatt was terrific and apt.
The director must be appreciated for giving least importance on visual effects. Since no characters, no songs and no conversations among the characters were shown in the first teaser, we cannot adjudge how well the film is being shaped up. On a whole, the teaser gives us an impression that war sequences have been taken special care for the film.
