Latest trend in Bollywood is filmmakers are going for exceptional promotional campaigns by arranging preview shows of their films one or two days to one or two weeks before actual theatrical release date. This is enabling them in rapid spreading of mouth talk thus helping in massive openings.

Tollywood seems to be learning a leaf of publicity lessons from Bollywood fastly because ‘Pelli Choopulu’ stood as one strong experiment with more than dozen pre release preview shows arranged to critics and a selected set of common audience. The trick in fact worked enormously.

Ghazi’ starring Rana Daggubati, Tapsee is following the same strategy. Makers Prasad V Potluri, Niranjan Reddy are extremely confident about the film’s output and are arranging preview shows tomorrow (Feb 15th) in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and day after tomorrow (Feb 16th) in Vizag while the actual release date is February 17th.

Meanwhile, ‘Ghazi’ Hindi and Tamil versions are already screened in Mumbai and Chennai for critics and selected elite public. As these shows got encouraging reports, they are hoping the same for Telugu version too.

While a section in the industry is appreciating producers for exhibiting confidence, other section is ridiculing the feat as over confidence. At a time when big heroes are avoiding early morning premiere shows feared of negative effects and divided talk on opening collections, ‘Ghazi’ special screenings two days in prior is definitely an adventurous feat.
