Rajamouli In Global League!

It is very much a common scenario at film functions that guests on stage follow the idiom you scratch my back and I will scratch yours. But there’s more of honesty and humbleness in Bollywood versatile personality Karan Johar heaping the praises on Rajamouli at ‘Baahubali 2’ pre release event happened yesterday.

Not just stopping from comparison of ‘Baahubali’ with ‘Mughal-e-Azam,’ he went far beyond putting Rajamouli in the global league of James Cameron, Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan.

‘Well, ‘Baahubali’ is the proudest Indian film ever made. I remember K Asif’s ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ was the film which bought entire fraternity together and that was way back. After 50 or 60 years to ‘Mughal-e-Azam,’ we have one more of a similar experience on Indian celluloid and that’s ‘Baahubali.’

To say that Rajamouli is the biggest film maker in India is still not enough. I think he is a global film maker in the league of James Cameron, Steven Spielberg or Christopher Nolan and beyond because his narrative has soul, his cinema has strength and his humble personality makes me feel so tiny. My achievements are not even one tenth of what he achieved in last five years.

‘Baahubali’ is not a conclusion. It is the beginning of a journey for thousands of Indian film makers to inspire on what Rajamouli sir has done. ‘Baahubali’ is a film that has won global hearts,’ Karan Johar said.
