Puri Jagannath is a responsible father and at the same time offered complete freedom of choice for son Akash to select the field of own interest for future career. Obviously, Akash choose films and the time came for Puri to design a standard footing, thus launched Akash as hero today with Mehbooba under his own production and direction.

Mehbooba starring Akash, Nithya Shetty in leads is silently launched today in Himachal Pradesh as Charmi clapped the sound board. Post the debacle of Paisa Vasool, this is the immediate next outing for Puri and it’s a pure love story reportedly set in Indo-Pak backdrop.

Akash although debuted earlier with Andhra Pori could not achieve the desired success. After a hiatus, Puri himself took the responsibility. While Sandeep Chowtha is scoring the music, the film will be shot majorly in Punjab, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.
