From the past couple of months, there has been a hue and cry on the Digital Service Providers who have been screening latest movies within days of its release. As the offer is tempting at times, few producers are falling prey to it without discovering the threat to future of movies and theatres.

Realizing this no sooner than later, the producers and distributors of South Indian Film Industry have formed a JAC to act tough on the digital service providers. Few meeting have been held as part of this process and the final meeting was held today between them at Hyderabad.

The news is that the talks between them have failed and the producers/distributors have decided not to share their content with the DSP’s. The JAC have also decided that no movies will be releasing in South India from March 2.

As there are many biggies lined up from the mid of March, we will have to wait and see how both the parties will come to a common consensus.
